Dan Ekambi Olunyeya  alias Man U who died at a Chang’aa den in Mountain View Kangemi Westlands Sub-county was buried in Luanda  Vihiga County on Saturday.

Ekambi lost his life at a Chang’aa  den near St. Joseph school  Mountain View ward, after an alleged altercation with another individual at the den.

His burial was showered by call for justice with the family describing his death as  orchestrated and well planned at the Chang’aa den.

The post mortem report done at Nairobi  City Mortuary  indicated he  was hit several times at the head something  that triggered bleeding causing his death.

Ekambis’ mother Jane Wena has called on police to enhance their investigations and arrest the perpetrators.

“It was sudden news to me but am asking for justice from the relevant authorities. My son was well until the last minute when he passed on. We have been left with nothing but hope that he rest in peace,” she told mourners.

“We demand for speedy investigations into this matter and all culprits to be jailed at Kamiti or elsewhere… Justice for Man u, Justice for man u, Justice for man u, Justice for man u. We are going to have three demonstrations every week until we get Justice for man u. Luyhas we are crying maandamano loading in Mt View,” another resident added.

Suspect released

Meanwhile the area leaders have blamed the police for derailing the matter. Led by Mountain View MCA Maurice Ochieng’ the police arrested a woman who is believed to the main suspect but released her without concrete reason.

“They know this den myself have cried loud that this Chang’aa at kwa Mama Doris is harmful to our youths but they couldn’t listen ….the information I have is that she was arrested twice but later released under unclear circumstances,” he told Ghetto Radio News.
