A middle aged man has lost all his education certificates in a fire incident in Imara Daima, Nairobi County.
Ivnaris Makumba aged 35 lost his KCPE, KCSE and college certificates in the fire that burnt down more than 100 houses.
“These are my certificates that have been burnt. We have lost everything, we do not even know where to start,” said Makumba.
A number of people reportedly suffered injuries while trying to salvage their items from the fire incident.
The fire which reportedly started at 2230 hours on Monday allegedly originated from an unmanned M-pesa shop in a building in the area.
Rebecca another victim of the fire says that she has been left homeless with her two children.
“I have lost everything, including my home. I do not have anywhere to go with my two children,” she said.
They are appealing to the Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja to assist them rebuild their lives.
