A woman in Korokocho slums is seeking justice after her nine year old daughter was reportedly gang raped by her step father and other accomplices.
Millicent Kwamboka says that her daughter whose body was discovered in a pit latrine after she went missing for 18 days was reportedly gang raped and one of the suspects is her estranged husband.
“I searched for my baby for three days and night without sleep before i resorted to placing posters of missing person in the whole of Korokocho area,” narrates Kwamboka.
Kwamboka told Ghetto Radio News that her husband disappeared just immediately after her daughter had been reported missing.
Kwamboka explained how her daughter’s body was put in a gunny bag and dumped into the pit latrine after the heinous incident.
“When her body was discovered, i was called by police officers and asked if i could identify it. I couldn’t immediately because it had been put in a 50 KG gunny bag and then tied up. My brother gathered courage went straight to the bag and cut it open,” says Kwamboka.
Kwamboka a mother of two says that immediately the bag was cut, she saw her naked baby in a leso she uses when she wants to go to the bathroom.
“My daughter went missing when i was at work at night and her step father has never come back to the house,” she says.
The police then took the body to the city mortuary as they planned for a postmortem.
She says that a postmortem conducted on her daughter’s body revealed that her daughter was gang raped and head strangled leading to her death.
