Man Puts Advert On Newspaper Asking Sonko For Deputy Governor Job

A Nairobi resident has made a public appeal to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to consider him for the Deputy Governor’s job.

Philip Chogoti Chepsat put an advert in the Nation newspaper urging Sonko to appoint him as Deputy Governor.

In the advert Chepsat stated that he had earlier communicated to Sonko about the DG job but was not sure if he had received the communication.

“I also know that you cherish openness and transparency. I am driven by a strong conviction that I could make significant contribution to your efforts to improve Nairobi city,” read advert.

Mr. Chepsat further vowed that, if given the chance, he would exceed the expectations of Governor Sonko as well as those of Nairobi residents.

Sonko has never picked a Deputy Governor ever since his deputy Polycarp Igathe resigned in 2017.
