Man signs affidavit to release GSU officers who robbed him with violence

Three GSU officers arrested for allegedly robbing a man in Nyayo Highrise Embakasi have been released.

The three, Gideon Sumare,  Kevin Kone and Shallan Ooro reportedly arrested the victim before robbing him.

The DCI says that they were released after the victim filed an affidavit with the office of the DPP asking them to withdraw the charges.

“A complete file with the preferred charges was today forwarded to the @ODPP_KE for perusal but the suspects could not be arraigned as the ODPP were further issued with an affidavit sworn by the victim seeking to withdraw the charges,” the DCI further stated.

In the signed affidavit, the victim stated that he had reached an amicable settlement with the perpetrators hence calling for their release.

“I do affirm that i have had a mutual and amicable settlement of this matter satisfactorily with the above named person and i hyave no further complaint against them,” read the affidavit.

All suspects have been released from police custody on cash bail pending directions from the ODPP after perusing the file.
