Detectives have launched a man hunt for a man who allegedly robbed a Chinese couple Ksh. 4 Million in Juja, Kiambu County.
A statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations states that the couple had withdrawn the money from a bank in Chiromo Nairobi.
They were then headed to Kiahuria in Juja where they operate a quarry.
“But as they were driving along Bob Haris road, a white Toyota Axio registration number KDD 189P intercepted their vehicle before the five thugs jumped out of the car and forcefully gained entry into their vehicle making away with the cash,” the statement from the DCI reads.
Peddler arrested
Elsewhere in Nyahururu town, police netted bhang worth 150,000 and arrested a female peddler amid intensified fight against drugs and illicit brews.
The bhang was being stored and sold from a private home.
Special papers used for the rolling and packaging of the substance were also impounded during the raid.
The suspect will be arraigned in court on Monday.
