AFC Leopards Sunday dropped to a second spot in the Sportpesa Premier League after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Chemelil Sugar at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The visitors took a deserved lead in the first half through Dennis Onkangi before Allan Kateregga leveled matters for AFC Leopards in the 63rd minute.
Chemelil who were held to a barren draw by visiting Nairobi City Stars last week, started the match on a strong note with their front runners led by Echesa, Onkangi and David Ojwang giving Leopards defenders hectic moments.
Tusker on the other hand, settled for a 2-2 draw against Ushuru while Bandari beat Sofapaka 1-0 in the second match played at the same venue.
Tusker picked a point from the match after Michael Khamati scored their second goal from what looked like an offside position.
The draw will ease some pressure on Tusker coach Paul Nkata who has been on the radar since taking over from Francis Kimanzi this season.
Mathare United secured themselves a position at the top having earned equal points to that of Leopards.
Following the goal difference,Ingwe is now second.
