Nigerian artist, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, famously known by his stage name, Mayorkun has landed in the country ahead of his performance tomorrow at the Party Verse ‘peace edition’ concert at the Waterfront Park in Nairobi.
Mayorkun is set to share the stage with Kenyan artists such as Bien, Nviiri the Storyteller and Jovial.
Speaking in an interview after his arrival, he said that he was having a good time so far as he promised his fans an outstanding performance.
“I hope you guys have gotten your tickets. Let’s come out and have fun. It’s going to be a lively night,” says Mayorkun.
Mayorkun(Of Lagos) thanked Kenyans for the good reception of the hit song ‘Sugarcane Remix’ which he was featured in saying that it is time for the Afro beats culture to go beyond the West African borders.
“I feel great for the support shown by Kenyans and I feel it’s about time we push the culture beyond West Africa. I love you guys and God bless,” he says.
Party Verse Marketing Director, Eve Ngami had earlier promised the attendees of the concert that the will be well protected and provided with tight security.
“The most important thing we can do as event organizers is to provide a safe and exciting experience to our audience. That is why we are going to provide top notch security in the ground.” She said.
Being the first edition, Party Verse’s main agenda is to advocate for peace ahead of the general elections and to remind Kenyans that there is life after elections and that they should love each other and maintain peace and unity.
