A section of Nairobi MCAs who were ferried to Ukunda in Kwale County by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko are now crying foul after the governor allegedly refused to honour his end of the deal.
An MCA who spoke to Ghetto Radio news in anonymity says that Sonko had first promised them Ksh. 500,000 but later on reduced the amount to Ksh. 200,000.
“He even refused to honour the full Ksh. 200,000, the governor has only given us Ksh. 100,000. Some MCAs had to board SGR back to Nairobi,” said the MCA.
The MCA further stated that the governor went mute immediately after his impeachment was announced.
“He locked himself in his room and refused to talk to anyone, even his handlers,” he stated.
Some of the MCAs who were in Sonko’s camp, have reportedly started to decamp from his team to the other side.
Sonko was impeached last on Thursday with a total of 88 MCAs, only two MCAs abstained.
