Gengetone musician Mejja has opened up to where he draws the inspirations when writing all of his songs.

The gengetone musician says that most of his songs are written from past experiences and that of people close to him.

He claimed that he loves writing realistic things because he does not want to lie to himself and those who listen to his music.

Mejja says that his latest hit song ‘siskii’ was written from experiences that happened to his in two past relationships.

He says that he used love the girls so much hence could not listen to advices from friends when warned about the girl.

He further said that most men in Kenya have found a dramatic girlfriend but find it difficult to let go of them.

“Lakini najua kila chali lazima apitie hizi vitu, lazima uende hurudi. Alafu niliaua tu nidocument kila kitu. Juu hata kuna madem ukitaka kuwawacha adi wanakuthreten wanataka kujimada. Lakini mimi nilidocument to kila kitu imehappen kwa life yangu,” says Mejja.

The musician advised people to stay simple and not follow what people are doing on social media because most are living fake.
