In a heartwarming gesture, Lionel Messi had now presented his 8th Balloon d’Or to the Barcelona museum
Spanish journalist Miquel Blazquez has reported that the Inter Miami captain had decided to donate his trophy to the museum in Barcelona .
“Although he did not win it as a Barca footballer , the Argentine star had made gesture of giving it up so that it can be displayed along with the other seven he had won ” Blazquez said

When he was handed the Balloon d’Or award Messi revealed his delight at being crowned the world’s best player . He insisted that wining remained special even though it was his eighth title.
Messi finished ahead of runner- up Erling Haaland and third place Mbappe to lift the trophy in Paris.
He also won the FIFA best award for the second successive year in January.
Messi was not present at the ceremony it’s unclear where the trophy is being displayed.
Messi does not have enough space at home to display all his record setting collection of trophies.
