Michael Warutere from Riara Springs Academy has emerged the best in 2023 KCPE released today by CS Ezekiel Machogu.

Earlier today,Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced that the top student overall scored 428 marks.

While speaking with NTV,Michael said that he was not expecting to be the best student in Kenya and it is a miracle for him but he is very happy.

”Sikuwa natarajia haya matokeo!Wengine wanadhani shule za umma watapata hizi alama za juu lakini imekuwa ajabu kuona nimepata hiyo alama ya juu sana!.”He said.

Michael explain that he has shine on Mathematics which he scored 90% followed by English which he scored 88%,Kiswahili he scored 88% but performed fairly in Social Studies and Science which he scored 85% and 75% respectively.

”Ooh naona nikihesabu hisabati ambayo nimepata alama ya tisini,ikifuatana na Kingereza ambayo nimepata alama ya themanini na nane ikifuatwa na I think Kiswahili themanini na tano,”

”Alafu SST/CRE pia nimepata themanini na nane na ya mwisho ni Science seventy five percent.”He said.

He also noted that Science is the only subject that gave him some difficulty but he thanked God for the good result.

”Oooh bila shaka somo ambalo liloweza kunipa changamoto ilikuwa sayansi,

”Hadi sio mimi pekee yangu bali hata kwa wanafunzi wenzangu walikuwa wanasema Science ilikuwa mawe sana. Kenye imenishangaza sana ni Kiswahili.Kusema ukweli sijawahi pata alama ya themanini na nane venye nimepata leo hapa shule,nimeshukuru Mungu!.”He said.

Michael’s Expectations.

Michael said his dream school is Mangu High School and later be a software engineer.

”Naomba niende shule ya Mangu kwa masomo ya Shule ya Upili sasa…Naomba nikuwe Software Engineer kwa siku zijazo,”He concluded.

He noted that teachers has also played an important role in coaching him not forgetting his parents.
