Mike Sonko Secures Jubilee Ticket After Beating Peter Kenneth

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has clinched the Nairobi Jubilee gubernatorial ticket.

Sonko floored former Gatanga MP peter Kenneth garnering a total of 138,185 votes against Peter Kenneth’s 62,504.

Senator Mike Sonko has beaten rival Peter Kenneth for the Jubilee ticket, securing his slot in the ballot for the Nairobi governor race.

The Senator will face off with incumbent Governor Evans Kidero in the August 8 polls.

Nominated MP Johnson Sakaja won the senatorial ticket with a total of 153,422 votes beating his closest rival Kavemba Mutinda with 126,982.

Current Nairobi Women Rep Rachel Shebesh garnered won with 91,000 votes beating flooring Millicent Omanga who garnered 53,734 votes.

Shebesh yesterday stormed Jubilee tallying center at the Nyayo National stadium  accusing the Returning Officer of doctoring the results.
