Twelve more patients have died of coronavirus in Kenya raising the death toll to 250.
Health CAS Rashid Aman says older people have increased mortality.
“Due to physiological changes of age, old people are susceptible to COVID-19. I urge healthcare givers to provide sound advice to families,” said Aman.
397 more people have contracted coronavirus in Kenya raising the country’s number of infections to 14,168.
“From the 397 cases that we are reporting today, 389 are Kenyans and 8 are foreigners. Males comprise of 236 and females 161. Again the youngest is a one year old infant and the oldest 90,” said Aman.
He says the new cases are from 3,637 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Kenya has so far tested a sample size of 249,998.
