‘‘The three were in their  house in Kisumu Ndogo unit just opposite Kibera South Clinic  but it seems the heavy floods  swept their residents  before they succumbed to their deaths.’’ Mercy told Ghetto Radio News.

Meanwhile different parts of Nairobi county experienced floods following the  heavy downpour with  areas like South C, South B ,Eatsleigh,Embakasi Village,Umoja  and Zimmerman  highly affected.

This is despite assurance by  Nairobi city county  executive for roads and infrastructure  Hitan Majevda that the county was prepared to tackle the flood menace.

Majevda made it clear that they have unclogged 70% of the floods hotspots in the city  but now the situation is proving contrary.

According to Majevda more resources were mobilized to clean the sewer lines and environment including unclogging all estates in Nairobi.
