Police have teargassed Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi as he led demonstrations in Kangemi area.
Wanyonyi was addressing hundreds of supporters when the police lobed teargas on him.
“We will not destroy anybody’s property; we will not be violent, we only want to demonstrate to show the government that Kenyans are tired,” Wanyonyi he told the protesters.
Wanyonyi had to be whisked to safety by his bodyguards in a bid to protect him from the effects of the teargas.
Wanyonyi is the brother to National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula.
