Legendary Tanzanian singer and rapper Khery Sameer Rajab popularly known as Mr Blue is set to receive his first ever award in his 20 year illustrious career in music,on Friday June 30th,2023.
Taking to his Instagram, the mbwa koko rapper affirmed that he has never laid his hands on a single award be it local or international.
Mr Blue further revealed that the awards will be in favour of Bongo Flava Honors in celebration of his achiements, contributions and the Bongo Flava culture.

In addition,Mr Blue maintained that he will stage a never seen concert lasting two hours and backed up by a band.
Moreover, the day’s host will be none other than veteran hip hop star, politician and activist Mr 11Sugu fondly referred to as Jongwe.

Rise To Stardom
Mr Blue bumped into the musical scene in the early 2000s as an RnB singer.
At that time he was known as Lil Sama, the name would later change to “Mr Blue” when he dropped the song,Mr Blue.
His other song,Mapozi was a trendsetter in the local East African local charts.
With his signature cornrows hairstyles,Mr Blue was the revised version of then Us teenage rapper,Lil Bow Wow.
He dropped out of school in form two to concentrate on music,he had become a breadwinner for his family at an early age and his mother couldn’t exert the pressure for his education continuity since his music was the their source of livelihood.
Mr Blue has also seen it all,at the height of his career fame got into his head and he came down crashing.
He fell into abyss with no shows to his name,he would later pick himself up after great soul searching bouncing back to glory.
Today,Mr Blue is one of the most prosperous bongo flava act’s in reference to wealth.
He has also maintained his grip on the industry by switching from singing locally referred to as ‘Kubana pua’ to rapping.
His songs include;Tabasam,Mboga Saba,kiguu na njia and pesa among others.
