The King of parody Dogo Charlie has revealed how he narrowly got killed while working as a freelance beautician when a man busted him with his wife in Kericho town.
According to Dogo Charlie, on the fateful day he was offering his services to a married woman.
As usual, he would carry a portable seat where he would sit while he gave his services door to door.
However, he noted that the days weather changed with a downpour hitting the area prompting them to seek refuge at the woman’s home.
He went ahead and did the final touches on his client before the man of the house stormed.
The agitated man accused him of having a thing with his wife despite him defending himself.
He continued that the situation was worsened due to the fact that many men in the region hating artificial nails.
“So nimeanza kazi kidogo hivi Kericho mvua ikaanza akaniambia haina shida tuingie ndani, mi nikamwambia sawa tuingie nipige mbio mbio kama nimetoka, right on time venye tumeingia tu hivi mamaa ameweka mguu kwa stool ‘ngo ngo ngo’ mlipaji kodi huyo kumbe sa ndio bwanake ‘hii ndio ujinga gani’ alafu kwa wakale(Kalenjins) pale, wakale hawapendagi hizi vitu… wengi hawapendi hizo vitu kwanza apate umeshika bibi yake mguu” he explained partly.
After a heated exchange of words, he was threatened with death should he be found again with the same woman.
Since then, he created a boundary by not offering his services at his clients homes. It also scared him off as he vowed to ditch the job.
MCA Tricky Helped Him Relocate To Nairobi
Dogo Charlie further revealed that comedian and media personality, MCA Tricky helped him to relocate from Kericho to Nairobi two years ago.
This was at the height of the coronavirus pandemic which saw him staying with him for a year.
Dogo Charlie also explained that he uses vegetables in his parody’s since most of his fans resonate easily with them.
One of his most viewed video’s remains the one he did for Mejja and Femi One in the ‘Utawezana’ parody.

However, he further disclosed that fans are yet to embrace his original compositions.
