A family in Nakuru is seeking justice following the  murder of their 12-year-old daughter.

Jasmine Njoki, a grade six pupil at Roots Academy in Nakuru, encountered her death while on her way home from school.

Jasmine was dropped off by the school bus at Mbaruk Centre and was taking her normal 1.5-kilometer walk home.

Jasmine’s father Francis Wambugu , overwhelmed by the loss  could only plead for justice for his  daughter.

Gilgil Deputy Police Commander Francis Tumbo says the matter is under investigation

The body of the deceased is being preserved at the Gilgil Hospital morgue awaiting postmortem examination.

Preliminary investigations indicate that she was defiled before being murdered in cold blood
