A man suspected to have murdered his ex- girlfriend in Njiru on Friday is reportedly threatening to commit suicide by jumping off the fifth floor of a storey building in Kayole.
The man who has been cornered by the DCI has reportedly locked himself up in the house in a bid to escape the police drug net.
“Detectives have cornered the man believed to have murdered his ex girlfriend in Njiru… The suspect, who has been on the run since the Friday incident has locked himself up at a house on the fifth floor of an apartment in Kayole,” said the DCI.
“He is currently at a balcony, threatening to commit suicide. Our officers are at the scene pleading with him not to take his life on account of his actions, since all is not lost,” said the DCI.
The man reportedly killed his ex girlfriend by tying her hands behind her back and setting the house on fire.
The man’s two househelps say that their boss had given them time off saying that he needed some privacy just after receiving his visitor.
“Her burnt body, whose hands appeared to have been tied before the house was set ablaze, was recovered at the scene,” said the DCI.
