Collins Oduor Wangira alias Vampire was arraigned before Milimani Senior Magistrate Dolphina Alego by the police attached to DCI seeking orders to detain him as they probe his alleged involvement in the murder of Boniface Opiyo.
According to the police, the deceased was undertaking his daily duty as loo cleaner at Muthurwa Market when he was attacked by a group of seven men under the command of Wangira.

Police stated that during the scuffle, Wangira stabbed Opiyo several times using dagger, leading to excessive bleeding and subsequent death while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.
In a sworn statement uttered before the presiding magistrate, the investigating officer Pwoka Mauka pledged to undertake a thorough probe of the suspects, including place of residence and age assessment since he have no identification documents.
“I undertake to conduct my investigation promptly and present my report to the ODPP for decision to charge,” The documents reads.
