The Nairobi commuter train services have resumed operation following the revision of the curfew hours.
Kenya Railways Managing Director Philip Mainga said the train services from Nairobi to Ruiru, Kikuyu, Embakasi and Syokimau will run between 6am and 7am and 5.30pm and 7pm, adding that Ministry of Health guidelines on Covid-19 will be adhered to.
“We are now offering full service running on the normal schedule. We will still enforce the Covid-19 guidelines to ensure transportation of commuters is a safe undertaking,” he said.
The Nairobi-Mombasa modern passenger train services remain inactive following cessation movement orders.
