Nairobi County workers now want the Acting  Governor Ann Kananu to fastrack  vaccination of all workers saying many of them are at high risk of losing their lives.

Nairobi City County Government Workers Union Secretary Fetus Ngari says that many of them still lack personal protective gears and comprehensive medical cover.

“The vaccination that was launched at City Hall should continue so that we have all employees vaccinated and also consistent provision of the PPEs should be done, because they take long before they are replaced,’’ he said.

‘‘We also want to call upon the Acting governor to ensure that they honour payment for our health covers so that we don’t end up not getting services at various hospitals now that we’re exposed,’’ he added.

Last week Nairobi Finance County Executive Committee member Allan Igambi promised to pay out all the outstanding medical insurance bills by Friday this week.

“This is to make a commitment that the county government undertake to settle the remaining balance of Ksh. 259,940,288 on or before Friday 23rd April 2021.” A letter from Igambi reads.
