0 698

Nairobi county government has raised an alarm over huge  numbers its staff members being semi skilled and unskilled derailing county development workforce and development agendas.

County secretary  Leboo Ole Morintat says  the unskilled staff were  employed through unscrupulous means and political favours in the defunct city council of Nairobi.

He blames governor Sonkos’ predecessors saying they are  the major cause of poor services being delivered by some rogue staffs in the county.

The county has now proposed a send off packages to those have reached  50 years and above so that they can  pave way to young and energetic personnel.

The package budget has been factored in the 2017/2018 financial year.

Currently the number of county employees  stands at 13,000 staffs with a  wage bill of 1.2 billion shillings.
