The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has revealed that the main suspect in the murder of Nairobi Hospital’s acting finance director, Eric Maigo is below 18 years of age.
According to a statement released by the DCI, the suspect identified as Ann Adhiambo also known as Nut is aged between 15 and 17 years
Ann Adhiambo was reported to have sat for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations at Dagoreti Approved School between 2021 and 2022.
The DCI’s statement also disclosed that clothing worn by the suspect on the fateful day has been recovered as part of the ongoing investigation.
“The clothes a red checkered shirt and a grey pair of animal-print pants were found in a semi-permanent wooden shack in Bombolulu village, deep inside the sprawling Kibira settlement,” DCI said.
This comes a day after the DCI released images of the young woman who is suspected to have brutally stabbed Eric Maigo 25 times on the morning of Friday, September 15, 2023.

“The suspect who was captured leaving the victim’s residence at Woodley Annex -Upper is believed to have been involved in the murder most foul before escaping through the back door. Two blood-stained knives believed to have been the murder weapons were recovered from the scene of crime,”
Phone records that were obtained by the officers indicate that Eric Maigo was last seen at a recently opened entertainment club along Ngong Road where he was seen in the company of their women.
The DCI is now appealing to the public for assistance in locating Ann Adhiambo, who has since gone into hiding.
They are urging anyone with information that could lead to her arrest to report it to the nearest police station immediately
