The inspectorate department Nairobi city county is set to face an overhaul and reforms should a motion passed by the Nairobi county assembly be effected by governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
The motion which was tabled yesterday by Parklands MCA Jayendra Malde is seeking change of policies governing kanjos operations saying the current by-laws are colonial.
The motion will also restrain Kanjos from arrests and harassment being faced in Nairobi currently.
Malde argues that small scale business can not thrive in the city because of the city askaris brutalities.
Meanwhile all eyes have been turned to governor Mike Sonko for implemetation of the motion.
Hawkers,Boda operators are main victims of kanjo brutality.
