Nairobi County Assembly MCAs have enhanced secret meetings in a scheme to ‘finish’ governor Mike Sonko following the his’ move not to respond to allegations for his removal as cited in the petition by Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok.
A close source to Ghetto Radio News revealed how the ward representatives met in shifts. The first meeting was first chaired by ODM house leaders while the second meeting was chaired by majority leader .
‘‘They had meetings Jubilee and ODM separately and they discussed how they will ensure the impeachment motion is successful..some government officials were also present ,Jubilee meeting ended around 3am,’ the news source revealed.
However, Three MCAs who are main Sonko allies did not attend the secret meet.They include Peter Warutere,Antony Kiragu ana Maringo MCA Mark Ndugu.
The Nairobi Assembly House Business Committee has gone to Kisumu for a two day retreat where they shall receive officially and check all evidences presented to it by Peter Imwatok to support the impeachment motion.
Meanwhile Sonko has made it clear that he will not file any response on the allegations cited in the motion saying he does not recognize current acting clerk Monica Muthami.
Impeachment motion will be discussed on Tuesday next week and the MCAs are likely to take a vote on Wednesday.
