Opposition MCAs Nairobi County assembly have slammed Nairobi Governors’ utterances that he did not read the transfer of deed before surrendering four key functions to the National Government saying they are uncalled for.
Addressing the media Minority whip Peter Imwatok says the governor has shown high level of illiteracy, irresponsibility and incompetence that going forward should should not be tolerated.
‘‘I said Sonko has never been serious with the life of Nairobians. You can now see what he did, this is incompetency ..we can’t allow such to continue in this county if he does not have the deed let him come to me for a copy but he must understand that we will not pick his political gimmicks.’’ He said.
Yesterday Sonko’s personal assistant Ben Mulwa confirmed that the governor will move to court next week to initiate the process of terminating the transfer.
“Just a few weeks after the deal has matured, we have witnessed a lot of disrespect from the ‘State house hijackers’. The deed is a two-year deal; we cannot proceed like this,” Mulwa said.
