Residents of Nairobi County will have to persevere another one week before they can have running taps once again.
Following the recent heavy rainfall witnessed in most parts of the country, Nairobi residents were left without water after mudslides affected the water treatment plant at Ngethu and Sasuma.
According to Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, Nairobians will have to wait till June 7th to get water from their taps.
Nairobi water MD Nahashon Muguna said the company is currently working on fixing the affected areas.
The MD further added that the company has been supplying water in some of the most affected areas like Kawangware and Kangemi.
“It is my belief that we will be able to give Nairobi residents better services than before. By 7th of June the water supply will have stabilized and we will go back to our normal lives. Areas which have not been receiving water we have been giving them using tankers.” He said
