Nairobi water rationing to finally come to an end


Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has directed  Nairobi City  water and Sewerage company to supply water on a daily basis in all estates that have been experiencing water rationing.

Sonko made the announcement regarding high water levels currently at the Ndakaini Dam in Murang’a County.

Some of the estates in Nairobi that have been experiencing water shortage include estates along Thika road, Nairobi West,South B, South C and other slums.

The dam is currently at 90% with metrological department saying there are more rains in the Aberdare ranges contrary to perspective that cartels have diverted tributaries serving the dam.

Nairobi water managing Director Nahashon Muguna had earlier in the year stated that the rationing was to continue until 2026.
