A section of youths working under the Nairobi County Government’s Beautification Programme are now demanding an apology from Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and former Nairobi county assembly majority leader Abdi Hassan Guyo for calling the goons.
The group on Monday matched to the Nairobi CBD and assembly premises condemning the act.
According to the group chairman Mathias Owino popularly known as Swaleh the governor has given them job opportunities through the beautification project and referring them as goons is an insult.
‘‘We want to tell Sakaja and Guyo that they must respect us , we were jobless and we have something to put on the table …in total the project has employed 3200 youths, are those goons? they must apologise or else we shall teach them a political lesson.’’ Swaleh said.
They further slammed Nairobi MCAs who have been on Sonko’s neck to shun ‘bad’ politics and embrace development.
