Nairobians warned to be vigilant as two Lions are on the loose


lionsKenya Wildlife Services (KWS) has dispatched a team to track down two lions that were roaming and causing panic along Southern bypass and Lang’ata in Nairobi.

The lions are said to have been spotted at around 1am Friday along Lang’ata road.

KWS Communications Officer Paul Ndoto stated that one lioness had given birth near the Nairobi National Park fence before the rest strayed to the nearby residential areas.

KWS has cautioned people living in Lang’ata and Kibera to be vigilant as the lions are very dangerous and warned the public against harming the animals.

Kenya Wildlife Services has issued a toll free number 0800 221566 for the public to call if they spot the lions.
