Naivas Supermarket has opened a new store within the Nairobi CBD.
The outlet covering around 20,000 square feet of trading space is conveniently located along Aga Khan Walk at the famous Uchumi House.
The new store is now the retailer’s 6th outlet within the CBD with the other five outlets being, Ronald Ngala, Moi Avenue, Development House, Lifestyle Food market and Muindi Mbingu Express.
Speaking during the launch, Naivas Chief Commercial Officer Willy Kimani said the CBD is underserved and the new store will help curb the huge population that transacts business around CBD.
“We are here to launch the 77th store in the whole country and we are happy that in the CBD we are in the 6th store and clearly we are solving a customer problem because they has been an issue of solving our customers who were flooding the Moi avenue branch. This of course means they need to meet their daily shopping needs which we believe the new outlet will provide another strategic location for them to do so,” said Willy Kimani Chief Commercial Officer.
The CCO said that the secret to their growth is that they put the customer interests first and pay suppliers on time.

He also added that they fight for their consumers by not double pricing their products.
“What makes us to grow is having the customer focus. Being careful to know what the customers want and we make sure to pay our suppliers well so that they get us what the customers want and we make sure that all the shop outlets are profitable and if not then we shut the shop down. We always maintain our prices and fight for our customers because as market leaders we have to be the first defenders of our shoppers. Naivas is living up to its brand promise; saves you money; by ensuring shoppers enjoy exclusive sales offers thus proving them with a reprieve against the hard times,” he added.
Mr Kimani announced that they are going to open two more stores in Embakasi and Mombasa road in the next three weeks.
He also added that the Naivas supermarket will open another branch in Greenspan and Malindi before the year ends.
