After 33 years 2 months 12 days,  Naivas Supermarket  has unveiled its 100th branch  on Thursday, October 12.

The latest branch is located at King’ara Road in Nairobi.

Today’s historic opening has seen shoppers enjoy massive discounts while others were gifted with shopping vouchers.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio News shoppers could not hide their joy as they enjoyed shopping at the retailers newest branch ,

Nimenunua Unga,mafuta,sukari na vitu mingi sana kwa bei nafuu’’ Said one happy customer

‘’Na hii uchumi kupata supermarket na discount kama hizi,kwanza kununua mafuta si rahisi,nimefurahia sana Naivas’’ a different shopper said

Naivas express gratitude

Naivas thanked its customers for trusting the brand, making it the largest retailer in the country.

The milestone would not have been possible without your unwavering trust in the brand.

All these would have been wasted effort if it were not for the support you accorded us since the first store opening in July 1990,” Naivas stated.

Naivas officials stationed at the newly opened store have promised their customers the very best shopping experience, and high quality products.

In addition the officials said the outlet has also created more employment to the staff stationed at the newly opened branch.

Naivas Ownership

Naivas Supermarket Ltd was started on July 27, 1990, by Peter Mukuha Kago.

Kago died in 2010 and left his children, among them David Mukuha, who is the director, as the heirs of the family business

In June 2022, French Firm Proparco acquired a KSh 3.7 billion stake in Naivas Supermarket in a deal that saw it become part of a consortium with 40% ownership of the giant retailer.
