Celebrated singer Ashanti is expectant with her first child with boyfriend Nelly. This will be her first child and Nelly’s third child as he has two kids currently.

The 49 year old Nelly, shares daughter Chanelle, 29, and son Cornell Haynes III, 24, with ex Channetta Valentine.

Ashanti first sparked pregnancy speculation over the weekend when she attended Nelly’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis. During the event, singer put her hand on her stomach while on stage with Nelly and he did the same.

The two artists back together after a decade

Ashanti and Nelly dated on and off from 2003 to 2013 after meeting during a Grammy Awards press conference.

In September, Nelly confirmed they were back together during an interview with Love and Hip Hop stars Rasheeda and Kirk Frost.

‘Yeah, we cool again,’ he gushed when asked if they had rekindled their romance. He then added that their reunion was not planned at all. “I think it surprised both of us.It wasn’t anything that was planned.”

When asked if his renewed relationship with Ashanti feels good now, Nelly says this time round the relationship has little pressure,

“Before I felt like both of us are doing what we’re doing before career-wise, And when you got so many people in the middle of it, it can be tough.” added Nelly
