KOKO networks, an international technology company has launched a clean and affordable cooking fuel solution.
The ethanol cooking fuel is regarded as clean, safe and affordable liquid that can be dispensed from smart fuel ATMs known as KOKO Points.
Energy Principle Secretary Joseph Njoroge described the new fuel as an exciting and innovative cooking solution with no harmful emissions.
Koko Networks also unveiled its new two burner KOKO cooker that can be used alongside the new ethanol fuel.
For one to access the safe energy fuel, you will be required to get a KOKO account from the 700 KOKO Points, then pay for the commodity via Mpesa.
The fuel is currently only available in Nairobi County.
The Ministry of Health states that approximately 400 deaths occur per week from the diseases caused by indoor air pollution from dirty cooking fuels.
