Just a day after a fire burnt down stalls in Kibra’s Toi market, Traders in New Ngara are counting losses as a result of the fire.
The fire is reported to have started at around 2:00 am on Wednesday and the cause is yet to be established.
Reports indicate that fire brigade team from Nairobi County reported to the scene and managed to contain the fire.
No causalities were reported even though it is not yet clear how much property was lost in the fire.
A witness said the fire affected mostly part of the residential area and the garage.
“I had loud noises at around 2:00 am an on checking I came face to face with the firemen who told me to leave before the fire spreads. The third floor of our building, and the garage section were the most affected.” He said
