Ngatia Woe City Traders as Gubernatorial Campaigns Hots Up
The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry boss Richard Ngatia now says he will rebuild all city markets should he clinch the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.
Ngatia who was speaking to Central Business District traders asked Nairobi residents to be keen with their votes in the up coming General Election.
Among issues raised by the traders are poor drainage system in the Central Business District, poor sanitation in trading areas, high taxes and harassment by city askaris.
‘‘We must be keen on whom we are electing as our leader ..my vision for you is to make your life easy in this city am not like those you have been electing,I will listen and act more that’s my policy….and for that reason you must shun those leaders who want to use your vote to get into power and then misuse those powers to do their own things.” Ngatia told Nairobi traders.
Karis CBD trader said.
“We want him to solve the drainage issue, sanitation in our markets and continuous harassment by the city inspectorate.” Mary Kwavi added.
