An NGO in Kisumu County yesterday took Easter celebrations at the door steps of a Children’s Home.
Save Girl Child Network Kenya, organized a sumptuous meal for the total orphans at the Mercy’s children’s home.
Save Girl Child Network Kenya Ambassador Oyoo Peter says that they wanted to show some love to the children aged five to 15 years.
“We as Save Girl Child Network Kenya, today we decided to come and Celebrate this Easter together with these kids staying here. At least we show them some love. We selected this place because these children as you can see they are very young and they are total orphans,” Explained Oyoo Peter
Mercy’s Children’s Home hosts total orphans and children abandoned by their parents.
Martion Otieno one of the children at Mercy’s Children’s Home appreciated the love shown to them by the organization.
“I am very happy today as I did not expect this. I personally have been here since 2008 to date. I have been treated well, taken to school and even now am doing my mechanical Course, ” he said.
