Award-winning TV personality Nick Cannon has penned an emotional message in memory of his late son Zen Scott Cannon.
Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott’s 5-month-old son, Zen, died in December 2021 of a brain tumor.
In his long post on Instagram, Cannon admitted that losing a child has to be one of the heaviest, dark and most depressing experiences ever.
“Such a painful anniversary. Losing a child has to be the heaviest, dark, and most depressive experience that I will never get over. A mixture of guilt, pain, and sorrow is what I suppress daily,” Cannon said in part.
He went on to acknowledge how tough the past few weeks have been and how he lost sleep thinking about his late son.
“Physically I’m definitely on the mend but mentally and spiritually I’m broken. Been tossing and turning all night, and as much as I know I need rest, last night I couldn’t sleep at all. I can’t believe it’s been a year already since the toughest day of my life occurred.
He continues wishing that his son would have lived to witness and experience the love that he would have showered him with.
“I am far from perfect and often fall short and make decisions in my life that many questions, but anyone who knows me knows my heart. I love hard, I love big and I love with my entire Heart and Soul and I just wish my Little Man could’ve felt more of that love while he was here on Earth,”.
