Nick Mwendwa Released On Ksh. 4 Million Cash Bail
Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa has been released on Ksh. 7 Million bond and a cash bail of Ksh. 4 Million.
Mwendwa was arrested last week on Friday over corruption and mismanagement of funds at the federation and was arraigned in court.
The prosecution however did not prefer any charges on him pleading for more time to conduct investigations.
Milimani Magistrate Wandia Nyamu who granted Mwendwa bail however barred him from accessing his office pending bond ruling on Wednesday.
“No access to all the workers of FKF, no address to the media at all, not to attend any football-related activities until the ruling of November 17, 2021, is delivered. I mean even today’s game, that is if you are going to be out,” said Nyamu.
Mwendwa was represented by his lawyers Tom Ojienda, Eric Mutua, Mutula Kilonzo Junior, John Khaminwa, Vincent Ombwebu, Nelson Havi among others.
Police had earlier sought orders to detain the embattled FKF boss for 14 days to complete investigations.
