Nairobi Metropolitan Services has today joined Ghetto Radio with other corporate entities in Cheza Clean campaign an initiative geared towards creating awareness on Covid 19.
When flagging of Phase two of Cheza Clean Badi gave credit to Ghetto Radio, Parot Group , Shell and other corporate organisation for coming up with such an initiative.
‘‘Am pleased with you and the work you are doing to educate Nairobians as NMS we shall continue working closely with you people in this sensitization journey,’’ Badi said.
Meanwhile Cheza Clean Team will today tour Bahati, Makadara, Jericho among other areas.
Parot Chief executive officer Jay Khamisi says they will mainly focus on fighting stigma as they reach out to people by educating them on the importance of following Covid-19 protocols.
‘‘We started this initiative three months ago and we want to appreciate Ghetto Radio and other corporate organizations for coming out strongly to support us. Today marks the beginning of the second phase and we shall focus more on stigma that has been developed towards Covid- 19 patients,’’ he stated.
Cheza Clean campaign was launched three months ago to sensitize people on Covid-19 and issuing hand sanitizers, bar soaps and masks for free to boost the fight against the deadly virus that has so far claimed lives of more than 270 people in the country.
