The Nairobi Metropolitan Services is on Tuesday expected to conduct a test run of the newly constructed Green Park terminal.
The test run will see Public Service Vehicles coming from Uhuru Highway terminate their journies at Uhuru Park and not Railways Bus Station.
A notice issued by NMS on Sunday states that the test run will last three hours, from 6 am to 9 am.
“This notice therefore informs the General Public that all PSV Vehicles operating from the NAIROBI RAILWAYS STATION FRONTAGE will do a a test run of dropping passengers at the Greenpark terminal on Tuesday 27th April 2021,” read the notice.
NMS says that after 9 am the normal PSV pick ups and drop offs at the Railways Bus Station will resume.
NMS is in the process of implementing various decongestion strategies across the city.
The Greenpark strategy that is intended to accommodate vehicles from Nairobi’s Central region is nearing completion.
Other termini still under construction include Muthurwa and Ngara termini.
