No Space For Governor Aspirants in Nairobi, Bishop Wanjiru Tells Politicians Planning to Join UDA

Bishop Margret Wanjiru has declared that she is the sole UDA candidate for the Nairobi Governor’s seat shoving aside other candidates who have expressed interest for the seat on a UDA ticket.

According to Wanjiru, the battle line has been drawn and other candidates should not bring confusion into UDA.

Wanjiru’s sentiments come just weeks after reports that Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja was considering to vie for Nairobi’s governor seat on a UDA ticket.

“The battle line has been drawn and we don’t want any confusion in our lineup for Nairobi and our gate is now closed… we are heading for serious campaigns I’m the governor and my deputy is Patrick Musili Mbangula,” she said.

She however, assured all Nairobi UDA party aspirants free and fair nominations saying that she will not favour any aspirant.

“To UDA aspirants I don’t have a favourite aspirant you’re all equal and there shall be free and fair nominations,” she added.

Wanjiru on the other hand slammed wheelbarrow critics saying the tool was just a symbol but not to drag Kenyans into poverty.

“It must be clear that our symbol as UDA is wheelbarrow but we are not limited to that let our competitors be realistic… and we are using that symbol to associate ourselves with those who needs our help,” Wanjiru added.
