DCI Homicide team have taken over investigations into the death of a 23 year old boy at Safari Park Estate.

Jeff Mwathi had allegedly died after falling from vernacular DJ, DJ Fatxo’s house on the 23rd of February.

He had reportedly secured an interior décor job at DJ Fatxo’s house.

DCI in a statement has stated that they will not leave any stone unturned in the investigations into the murder.

“The public is assured that no stone shall be left unturned in the investigation of this case and any person found to have been involved in the death shall face the full force of the law,” said Mwathi.

The DCI took over the case following a directive from the Interior CS Professor Kithure Kindiki.

“On the matter of the late Jeff Mwathi, I have spoken to the DCI Mr. Amin this morning and instructed him to send a homicide team from the DCI headquarters to thoroughly investigate the incident and take the necessary action,” said Kindiki.

A report filed at he Kasarani Police Station revealed that Mwathi had an open skull, multiple fractures on legs and hands and was naked from the waist down.

The six were joined by another male who is a relative of DJ Fatxo. About an hour later, DJ Fatxo left together with the three women and left Mwathi in the company of the two males… Some minutes to 5 a.m., the two men were captured by spy cameras going down to the ground, appeared as though scouting for something, one made a call and they went up back to the house,” the report read.

Mwathi who was buried on Wednesday in Nakuru County.

Mugiithi singer Samidoh who is Mwathi’s uncle attended the burial.

He was accompanied by his baby mama Senator Karen Nyamu.
