The injury caused numbness from his neck down.

OG was rushed to Aga Khan hospital and was operated on in the early hours of Sunday where plates were affixed on his vertebral column.

The procedure was largely successful with OG regaining sensation and motion in his upper body. He was scheduled to begin physiotherapy immediately on advice from the surgical team at the hospital.

Sadly OG developed breathing difficulty early Tuesday morning and was pronounced dead at about 3am.
