Nonini terminates his MCSK membership

Legendary musician Nonini has terminated his membership license for the Music Copyright Society of Kenya.

According to the gengetone musician, the MCSK does not do its designated function and has revealed that he is moving for a better deal.

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Moving on to something that actually works. 💯 #Mgenge2ru,” wrote Nonini.

He faulted the Music Copyright society of Kenya for having poor leadership structure hence not fulfilling their function.

Nonini has asked musicians to work together in order to change the music industry in Kenya.

“The human society is the extension of the individual. If we really want a radical change in anything, if we want a better world, better leadership and better structures. We need to change the things that are not working by understanding you have the power individually! Inaanza na mtu mjamo! #Mgenge2ru 🔥🔥🔥,” Nonini added.

The MCSK through their CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua confirmed the termination of Nonini’s membership as the member of the society.

“We refer to the above and to your notice of membership termination dates 17th February 2022. Please note that your membership at Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) has been terminated effective 18th, May 2022 as per Article 9 of Articles of Association of MCSK. We Wish you all the best in your endeavors,” wrote MCSK.
