This was after their star center player Nikola Jokic recorded 14 points, 11 rebounds and a season high 16 assists for his team the Nuggets. This is Jokic’s 11th triple double of the season and the 87th of his overal career.
The Nuggets point guard, Jamal Murray also impressed fans as he recorded a season high 34 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Russel Westbrook tallied 24 points, 7 rebounnds and 7 assists in a losing effort for the lakers. This broke the 5-game win streak held by the Lakers as their star player Lebron James missing the game due to nursing his persistent bad ankle and their power forward Anthony Davis still out on the bench due to his foot injury.
The Denver Nuggets, are now being regarded as a rising force to be reconned with in the Western Conference. Led by All-Star center Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets have made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, and they are considered to be a team that could potentially challenge the Lakers for supremacy in the West.
