Kenyan Tiktok Content Creator Nyako  who is currently based in Germany , has championed a fundraiser and  raised 420,000

The cash is aimed at helping  former Citizen Tv Host Kimani Mbugua who recently opened up on his current struggle seeking help from Kenyans

The figure that doubled the amount he had requested was announced by Nyako

“Niseme au nionyeshe (should I say the amount or just show you)?” Nyako quipped before asking Kimani to make a rough guess.

“So we are at Ksh420,000!” she revealed.

In his response, Kimani Mbugua expressed gratitude saying;

“Thank you! Thank you so much. I never would have imagined ingekuwa hivi (it would be like this). I am so grateful to all of you. Asanteni sana.”

Mbugua seeks Help From Kenyans

Kimani Mbugua  opened up about his challenging journey with drug abuse and depression.

Mbugua who was a prominent figure in the media industry revealed the depths he had sunk into including hospitalization.

In the emotional video, Mbugua disclosed how he had fallen into the grips of depression and substance abuse.

“I realized I could suffer in silence and not speak out and be depressed again and go back to drugs. I don’t want to go back to drugs,” he said.

Mbugua revealed aspirations of launching a new business venture, showcasing his determination to turn his life around.
