
The Orange Democratic Movement has barred nominated senator Elizabeth Ongoro from vying the Ruaraka Parliamentary seat and fined her Ksh. 1 million after her supporters attacked ODM Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen.
The party has asked Ongoro to look for another constituency to vie in further asking her to give a public apology over the chaos she caused at Orange House last week.
Other leaders fined by the disciplinary committee include Migori governor Okoth Obado who has been fined Ksh 2 million.
Mathare parliamentary aspirant Antony Oluoch, MCAs Peter Owera and George Ocholla have all been fined 200,000 shillings.
